This is my 24th year at Louise S. McGehee School in New Orleans. McGehee's is an all girls' school and has grades Pre-K through 12th. We also have a coed pre-school program that ranges from babies to three year olds. The first year at McGehee's I was a part-time reading specialist and the next year I became the Lower School Head. I was the Lower School Head for 12 years and have been the Network Administrator for the past 11 years. Before teaching at McGehee's, I was a part-time Instructor in the Education Department at Dominican College in New Orleans. I am the mother of two grown children - a boy and a girl. Both are lawyers and married. My husband and I together have 6 children and 6 grandchildren with 2 on the way.
I look forward to my year as a Fellow with PLP and know it will be a learning experience. I also look forward to working with the team from McGehee's and my "adopted" team.
